II) House rules
The Host
The River and House are managed by the Landlord’s representative, hereafter referred to as the Host. Tenants agree to abide by any decisions made by the Host relating to the running of the House and the supervision of fishing within the river boundaries.
Access
The tenant shall provide access to the House for the Host in order for him to carry out his duties.
Use of the House
The tenant shall have use of the House and all its facilities. Bed sheets and linen are provided by the Landlord. The House should be kept locked when unoccupied and should be left in good condition at the end of the rental period.
Arrival and Departure
Unless otherwise agreed, guests may arrive one hour before fishing commences in order to settle into the House and onn the day of departure, guests are requested to vacate the bedrooms by 10.00 hours, but may continue to use the House and its facilities until one hour after fishing finishes.
Accommodation
The House sleeps a total of 11 guests, comprising four twin rooms and three single rooms, two of which are walk-through bedrooms. The first six guests are included within the letting arrangement. Any additional guests must be agreed at the time of booking and may be subject to a supplementary charge.
Facilities
A washing machine and drying facilities for wet clothing and boots are available.Wi-Fi internet access and a television are provided..
Meals
The House is let on a self-catering basis.
Alcohol
Osen is not a licensed premises. Guests are advised to bring their own alcohol for private consumption. Wine and spirits may be purchased in Førde, approximately 35 minutes’ drive from the House.
Dogs
Osen is situated on a working farm which does not belong to the Landlord and is private property with livestock and young children present. Therefore dogs are not permitted without permission of the Landlord. However, if permission is given then the following rules are to be followed. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. Dog fouling must be removed.Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or to lie on chairs. The House is a nationally listed building with cloth wallpaper and antique furniture which could be damaged by a dog and would be costly to repair; any damage caused must be made good by the owner.. It is recommended that dogs sleep in the hall, preferably in a cage, or in a car.
Oddvarbu and Boat House
Oddvarbu and the boat house are to be kept locked when no one is using Muren or Lower Bank.
Key
Prior to arrival guests will receive the combination to access the key safe located in the back entrance of the House.
Boots with studs
Due to the historic importance of the house and the painted floors guests are asked to use the back entrance if wearing boots with studs or when very wet or muddy.
Car parking
No more than three cars may be parked in the parking area to the left of the House. Other cars are to be parked next to the notice board and wooden tower down by the river. The farm tracks must not be blocked by parked cars at any time.
Access to the farm
Osen Farm does not belong to the House; as such, and in order to prevent the spread of disease to farm animals, tenants are not to walk in the grass fields surrounding the house or drive or walk through Osen Farm without the farmers permission.
Garden
Guests may use the garden immediately around the house.
Kitchen fire and stoves
The open fire in the kitchen may be used but the wood burning stoves in all other rooms are not to be used.
