I) Letting agreement
Formation of Agreement
Upon payment, guests enter into a letting agreement with the Landlord as set out below.
Incorporation of House Rules and Fishing Rules
This Letting Agreement incorporates and shall be read together with the House Rules and the Fishing Rules published on this website. By entering into this agreement, the Tenant confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with those House Rules and Fishing Rules, which form an integral part of this Letting Agreement.
Tenancy
The tenancy applies to the Landlord’s house and fishing rights on the River Gaula as described in this agreement. The rental period shall be as agreed by email correspondence. Subletting is not permitted.
Rent
The rent is NOK XXXX, as agreed by email correspondence. Included in the price are six rods/guests. Further guests may be permitted provided this is agreed at the booking stage by email.
Reservations and Payment
If the anticipated dates are available, a provisional reservation may be held for 14 days. Bookings are only confirmed once a non-returnable deposit has been paid. The balance of the rental shall be due 90 days prior to the commencement of the booking. Payments are to be made by electronic bank transfer in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) to the BIC/SWIFT account number, which will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Cancellation
There is no refund of the deposit. If the booking is cancelled within 90 days of the arrival date, no refund of the rental fee shall be made. However, should the period subsequently be re-let at the same price, 90% of the original fee will be returned. Guests are strongly advised to take out travel insurance which includes holiday cancellation. No refund shall be made as a result of adverse river or weather conditions.
Price Adjustments
The Landlord reserves the right to amend prices in the event of increased taxes or fees, changes in currency exchange rates, or other circumstances beyond the Landlord’s control or which could not reasonably have been foreseen.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Norwegian law. The courts of Norway shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement. The District Court of Fjordane (Fjordane tingrett) shall be the court of first instance.
